I'm up and running with iOS5, and have noticed one application (Notes Plus) developed a noticeable lag. I don't find myself using the device in class very much (as noted by others), since the functionality is not dissimilar from my tablet. I would be interested in getting a wireless projection solution going...perhaps a long weekend project.
Those interested in more cloud storage can sign up for 50gb (!) of free online storage through box.net by searching the app store. The expanded storage is free when you register the app using your iPad.
